There are many places to dine in Nottingham city centre and now a brand new fast-food restaurant is being added to the mix. The first Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen to open in the East Midlands is in Nottingham.
The chicken known for its perfect crunch did not disappoint and vegetarians aren’t left out as Community Reporter, Keimae Blake reports who got to try a few things on their menu….
It seems that KFC and Jollibee have some competition on their hands as Popeyes has landed in Nottingham. After trying some of the hands-down delicious and worth your money products, I know exactly what I’ll be getting next time.
Although I won’t be camping out in the queue to be one of the first three people who win free chicken sandwiches for a year, I can see why to others that it's tempting.

With products other fast food restaurants don’t sell such as biscuits - and I’m not talking custard creams - when you get over to Popeyes you’ll see for yourself that the unique chicken menu is worth all the fuss.
The new restaurant has replaced Burger King on 8-10 Parliament Street. The branch officially opens on Saturday, October 1.
First up, I tried the Classic Chicken Sandwich. Served in a brioche bun, this isn’t a sloppy-presented burger.
My first bite was incredible. You can hear the crunch of the chicken that is layered several times before being cooked.
The taste of the chicken mixed with the pickle and layer of mayonnaise is mouth-watering, I wanted another! The price of the Classic Chicken Sandwich by itself is £5.99 and as a meal is £7.99.
Next up, the hot wings. These tangy, crispy and crunchy hot wings are the perfect lunch. Dip them into the honey mustard too and they are glorious.
For just £6.75 you can have a box of hot wings that will definitely have you wanting more. If you fancy a little side with your meal, these biscuits are served singularly for £1.99 added with a side of Cajun gravy.
The biscuits are buttery, crunchy and warm. I'm not a massive gravy fun, I only really like it on a roast but I'm sure for many it will be the ideal dip.
These biscuits are perfect for a snack along with chicken tenders if you don’t want to get messy or are in a rush or simply to add onto your feast
For all the vegetarians, Popeyes hasn’t left you out. No, they don’t have a fake-meat chicken burger but a bean burger for £6.50.
It’s safe to say that the Popeyes crunchy, well served chicken meals are no disappointment. I can’t wait to go myself and I will be ordering the Classic Chicken Sandwich. It’s a new favourite.
