When thinking of a drive-thru our mind drifts off to the big fast food brands that have made the concept famous, but have you ever been to one that offers just sweet treats.
Rutherglen's Wow Desserts is one of the newest eateries in the area looking to entice those with a sweet tooth.
And since our reporter Keiran Fleming does enjoy a sugary snack he thought he'd give this place a go.

The drive-thru was pretty easy to spot with its massive pink signage. There are two ways to order when it comes to Wow Desserts, there is a self-checkout option or the old-fashioned way.
I opted to keep it old school and grabbed a menu to browse.
The menu is biblical in size, with cookie dough, doughnuts, ice cream, bubble slushies, milkshakes and more up for grabs.
After the overwhelming selection I ended up picking a caramel cookie dough, along with a selection of other recommended items.
Once I ordered I parked up and waited, fully expecting a group of Oompa Lumpas to deliver my treats and break into song like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was handed my bags of goodies and made my way home.
Upon opening the boxes I was met with an array of colour and sugary smells.
Firstly, I enjoyed the warm cookie dough which was fantastically gooey and flavoursome. I washed that down with a cola cube slushee, which did indeed taste like the sweet shop item.
I also received a Milkybar cookie dough ,which I decided to try another day as I was operating on a sugar high after eating the first batch.
It was a white chocolate lovers dream as it not only did it include chunks of the sweet treat but it was drizzled in white chocolate sauce. Eating it cold was equally as good as munching on it warm.
However, the best part of the experience were the doughnuts.
I was handed a selection of four freshly baked items and they were sensational. Out of the four the jam doughnut was head and shoulders above the rest.
It was so moreish yet very filling. I would genuinely go back just for the warm jam doughnuts.
This review is technically not over as I still have the ice cream left in the freezer as I just don't want the Wow Desserts experience to end. It is fair to say that Rutherglen now hosts Glasgow's answer to Willy Wonka and those looking for a sugar high should head their way.
