Many are feeling the pinch when it comes to doing the weekly food shop. A recent survey carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) found that about half (49%) of adults in the UK reported they were buying less food when grocery shopping.
Meanwhile, 48% reported they had to spend more than usual to get what they normally buy. Many of us are now on the hunt for low-cost alternatives.
Recently, the supermarket giant, Asda, introduced its new budget range - Just Essentials. The range, which replaced its Smart Price value products, offers an array of foods - poultry meat, bread, eggs, fruit and vegetables, to help shoppers combat rising costs.
