Liverpool will continue their hunt for the Premier League top four when they visit Leicester City tonight.
Mohamed Salah notched his 19th league goal of the season in Liverpool's last outing, the 1-0 home victory over Brentford. The victory boosted the Reds' Champions League hopes. But with Manchester United beating Wolves over the weekend, the chances of Jurgen Klopp’s side moving into the top four have slimmed.
Liverpool just have to win their final three matches and hope Man United or Newcastle United drop at least four points between now and the end of the season.
Next up for the Reds are Leicester, who lost the reverse fixtures at Anfield 2-1 thanks to two spectacular Wout Faes own goals.
So, can Liverpool make it seven wins on the bounce this evening? We simulated the game to find out.
Leicester City vs Liverpool simulated to get a score prediction
To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.
We predict that Leicester could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Iversen; Castagne, Faes, Soyuncu, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Tielemans; Tete, Maddison, Barnes; Vardy.
We predict that Liverpool could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Jota, Diaz.
Liverpool whipped up a storm in the opening stages of the game, looking dangerous in every attack and causing problems for the Leicester defence. Cody Gakpo and Curtis Jones both came close in the opening 10 minutes, with the latter striking the crossbar, but some big saves from Daniel Iversen kept the score at 0-0.
One of his best stops came in the 36th minute, denying Luis Diaz with an incredible save. A threaded pass by Jordan Henderson picked out the Colombian on the left, and after cutting inside, his curling effort was tipped wide of the post by the goalkeeper at full stretch.
A poor backpass by Wilfred Ndidi allowed Gakpo to break through one-on-one just before the break, but Iversen made another big save to somehow send his side into half-time level.
The chances kept coming for the Reds after the restart but they were unable to beat the Danish shot-stopper. And in the 90th minute, they paid the price for their missed opportunities as the Foxes scored a late winner.
Leicester caught Liverpool on the break, with Tete leading the charge on the right. His drilled cross evaded Jamie Vardy before falling to James Maddison outside the box, and unmarked, the midfielder curled a first-time strike into the bottom corner to make it 1-0 and win the match.

FIFA 23 predicts that Liverpool could lose a third consecutive game against Leicester at the King Power Stadium, going down 1-0 in the simulation. Despite dominating the contest and creating a load of chances, Iversen was the man of the match, making eight great saves to keep the Reds out.
