Trump and his cronies are constantly hinting that he’s going to remain in power, pushing their “Trump 2028” hats and teasing that this is what the people secretly want.
Sensible conservative talking heads reassure us that the very idea of him seeking a third term is ridiculous. They say he’s obviously just kidding, or he’s playing to the base, or that you’re suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome for listening to the words the president is saying.
