Liam Gallagher has sent his best wishes to former Oasis guitarist Bonehead who is battling cancer. In his own inimitable style, the singer wished his bandmate a speedy recovery, tweeting 'we're all thinking of you rasta'.
His comments were published within minutes of Bonehead, real name Paul Arthurs, revealing on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with cancer and has pulled out of upcoming shows with Liam's band.
Arthurs is a guitarist, keyboard player and famously a co-founder of Manchester rockers Oasis. He was set to join Liam Gallagher on his upcoming shows at Manchester's Etihad and Knebworth Park.

The Manchester-born singer confirmed doctors had diagnosed tonsil cancer and that he is due to start treatment soon. In a statement on Instagram on Tuesday, the musician, 56, told fans: "Just to let you all know I'm going to be taking a break from playing for a while.
"I've been diagnosed with tonsil cancer, but the good news is its treatable and I'll be starting a course of treatment soon. I'll keep you posted how it's going. I'm gutted I'm missing the gigs with Liam and the band.
"Have the best summer and enjoy the gigs if you're going. I'll see you soon. xxx."
The news was met with thousands of messages of support on Twitter and Instagram, with fans offering their best wishes.
Among them was Liam Gallagher who tweeted: "Sending BIG love to the 1 n only Bonehead and his family wishing you a speedy recovery we’re all thinking of you rasta you’ll be back on stage bfore you can say r we doing Colombia LG x"
Former Oasis star Andy Bell also commented: "Get well soon Bone." Liam has 31 concerts scheduled and will kick-start his tour in Manchester on June 1.
He will then travel across Europe with shows in Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Belfast.
Last summer, the pair performed together during Gallagher’s headlining sets at Reading and Leeds festivals.
