BENGALURU: Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said the Indian delegation will demonstrate the country’s economic prowess during the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting to be held in Davos from May 22-26.
He was speaking during a virtual meeting chaired by Union minister for commerce and industry, Piyush Goyal, with members of the Indian delegation that will take part in the WEF meet. Bommai is scheduled to travel to Davos on May 22.
He will be accompanied by cabinet colleague and state industries minister Murugesh Nirani, “Besides attracting investments, there is a need to demonstrate the country’s prevailing investor-friendly ecosystem to the world,” Bommai said. “As far as Karnataka is concerned, a stable economy and the new industrial policy are our strengths.
We will showcase them to the world during the summit. ” On his part, Goyal asked delegations from different states to demonstrate unity among themselves before world leaders and promote the ‘One India’ concept.
