Seven months after Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Arizona home, a retired FBI agent has insisted the investigation remains far from cold, describing it as 'very tightly guarded' by law enforcement.

The 84-year-old mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie was last seen on 31 January 2026 and reported missing on 1 February, with authorities investigating her disappearance as a kidnapping from her Catalina Foothills residence near Tucson.
