Manchester United supporters are predicting big things for Amad when he returns to Old Trafford after he extended his superb goalscoring run for Sunderland on Monday night.
The youngster netted his fifth goal in seven matches for the Championship side during their 2-1 defeat to West Brom. Amad signed for United from Italian outfit Atalanta in January 2021 and made an instant impression during his early senior appearances. However, progression from that stage faltered a little and the Ivory Coast international did not produce his best north of the border with Rangers last term.
It appears as though those struggles are behind him, after the 20-year-old continued his rich vein of form with another strike on Monday night. Amad won a 19th-minute penalty before dusting himself down to score past Alex Palmer - although the Baggies did have the last laugh.

Goals from Tom Rogic and Daryl Dike settled the scores at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland failed in their quest to move one point shy of the play-off positions. Instead, they sit four points behind sixth-placed Preston with most sides having played 22 games this campaign.
Although he was unable to help his loan club win three points, United supporters are thinking about the long-term picture as far as they are concerned and what Amad might bring to the party next season. Indeed, for those posting on social media, it was all about how he might improve under Erik ten Hag on the training ground.
Amad has played 15 matches in the Championship this campaign, while all five of his goals (and his one assist) have come in his last seven games. Here's a selection of comments about the United attacker taken from popular social media platform Twitter.
