Butter is one of the key items on most people's shopping list. But recent reports have told of how the price has rocketed over recent months.
Shocking figures showed some were paying £7.25 for a 750g tub of Lurpak. And with prices continuing to soar across the board it may not be long before people are having to rethink whether they can afford it any longer.
Other reports have told how people are asking cashiers to stop scanning when the amount hits £30. While there have been several reports of people paying for shopping for customers who have run out of cash and are facing returning items to the shelves.

Overall
All in all, you can buy the cheapest 500g Lurpak at Tesco , which beats out its competitors. Anchor butter's 500g tub is also cheapest at Tesco for regular prices at £4.25 however both Asda and Iceland had it on offer at £3.75.
As for Country Life, the cheapest option for 500g is Tesco one again at £3.15. However Sainsbury’s did have a 750g option at just 50p more at £4. But as expected own brands come in well below the branded products.
