It’s back to school shopping season and with many of us in Ireland trying to make our money go that bit further - it’s important to shop around before you buy.
When it comes to the basic school clothing items like shirts, trousers and skirts, different shops stock similar products but prices can vary. But we have you covered! From shopping around in M&S, Dunnes, Tesco and Lidl, we’ve come up with a price list to help you make your shopping decisions.
So here’s all you need to know:

Shirts
In M&S prices range from €12 to €24 for a two pack. Dunnes are selling shirts for €9 to €15 for two shirts. Tesco prices start from €7 and shirts are €3.49 in Lidl.
Polo shirts
M&S prices range from €9.50 to €20 for a three pack. Dunnes are selling for €3 to €6 for a pack of two. A two pack of polo shirts start from €5 for a three pack in Tesco and Polo shirts are going for €2 in Lidl.
Skirts
M&S prices start at €12 and go up to €19 for a pleat school skirt, meanwhile a two pack of skater skirts are between €13.50 and €22. Dunnes skirts are priced between €5 to €14 and Tesco skirts are €9.
Pinafores
M&S costs start at €13.50 and go up to €19 depending on size. Dunnes pinafores are €6 to €14. Tesco pinafores are available from €12.50.
Trousers
M&S have trousers from €11 to €23. Dunnes prices are from €4.50 to €14, Tesco are selling trousers for €9 for a two pack for both genders and they're just €2 in Lidl.
Jumpers
Prices are between €15 and €23 in M&S for a two pack and €3.75 to €12 in Dunnes.
