'We are HONOURED!': Primal Scream share delight after display by Celtic fans

SCOTTISH rock band Primal Scream have shared their delight after Celtic fans referenced one of their songs during a display at Fir Park.

A tifo with "Our Light Shines On" was held up by Hoops supporters as green flares were set off, before the match against Motherwell on Wednesday night.

The banner altered the lyric “my light shines on” from the band’s single Movin’ On Up.

Primal Scream were formed in 1982 in Glasgow.

Last night, the band's Instagram account posted: "So, this happened last night. @celticfc V @motherwellfc.

"If you'd told the teenage us when we stood on the Jungle back in the day that we would have a Tifo inspired by one of our songs made by the Celtic FC Ultras we woulda thought u were insane. It happened. Dreams never end.

"We are HONOURED !!!! Thanks to @aidaceltic for photos 1 & 2. @davidholmes_1969 for photo 3. ✊🏼☘️⚽️⚔️"

Celtic won the game 2-1 after goals from Kyogo and Daizen Maeda.
