'We are cooking' Newcastle United supporters deliver pleasing team news verdict to face Leicester

Newcastle United supporters were pleased with Eddie Howe's team selection to face Leicester City this evening. The Toon head coach reverted back to the side that drew with Arsenal in the Premier League a week ago.

The Magpies are the favourites heading into the tie, given their impressive start to the season and the 3-0 win over the Foxes at the King Power earlier this season. However, they know they'll need to have their wits about them after suffering a cup upset at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

The Toon Army were pleased that Alexander Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin gave them options from the bench, but some were hopeful the latter would start after a bout of illness ruled him out of the FA Cup clash with Wednesday.

Here's what Newcastle United supporters had to say on tonight's team news:

@ThomasHammond_ said: "Isak AND Maxi off the bench, I heard of scenes."

@16AJ29 said: "We are cooking."

@tynetakes tweeted: "Happy with that. Having Maxi and Isak off the bench gives us some quality options to change the game if we’re chasing it. Joelinton better in the middle but on the left he gives burn defensive protection in what realistically will be a pretty tense game. C'mon lads huge game."

@Mqkzii tweeted: "I actually don't get it man just start Maxi I swear when he's came on he's been quality."

@adamy_y23 said: "Full strength team. Up the mags. Let's gooooo."

@JohnPaulBennet6 said: "Can't ask for much more really, let's get into them!"

@KyleMF1 said: "Nice. Isak and ASM on the bench too, finally decent options!"
