Noughties hip-hop trio N-Dubz are back and here to stay, says member Tulisa, as she revealed the band are already making plans for a new album despite just releasing one earlier this month.
The London group, which also consists of Dappy and Fazer, split in 2011 after releasing three albums together.
They delighted fans last year when they announced a reunion tour and released their first new single, Charmer, following an 11-year hiatus.
Clearly still an appetite for their unique brand, they have announced another tour for next year and recently released their fourth studio album, Timeless, with their eyes already firmly on putting out a fifth record.
“That’s what we do!” Tulisa proudly tells The Standard. “When we were out back in the day, we banged out an album every year, so that’s the vibe.
“As it stands, we are back. Rather than a reunion, it’s definitely a comeback so it’s all N-Dubz, N-Dubz, N-Dubz for now.”
Adding: “It has been amazing making [the new album] and amazing to be able to come back 11 years later and have such a great response from all the fans and the tours so lets just see with the album now.”
Last year’s sold-out tour was marred with reports of in-crowd fights which were captured on film by terrified concert-goers.
Tulisa isn’t fazed however.
“That’s just pretty standard at an N-Dubz concert to be honest,” she explained.
“We’re not angels, our fans don’t pretend to be angels, and especially N-Dubz coming back after 11 years, people that grew up from anything from between eight year’s old up to 18 and their favourite band comes back 10 years later, they’re gonna get smashed going to the concert so I think really it just comes down to that and people get drunk and they get rowdy.
“Hopefully by the next tour we’ve settled in a little bit now so there’s a little less excitement and everyone will be a little more chilled out,” she concluded.
