WBCHSE HS Toppers List 2026: Adrito Paul tops with 99.2 percent; check full list of scorers here

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the Class 12 results, toppers list, pass percentage, best-performing districts and other important details at 11 AM today. Adrito Paul from Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission secured the first position by scoring 496 out of 500 marks, achieving an impressive 99.2 per cent in the Higher Secondary examinations. Jishnu Kundu got the second rank and Ritoproto Nath third, both of whom scored 495 marks with 99 per cent. Meanwhile, the fifth rank was shared by Singchan Nandi, Choudhary Mohammad Asim, Indrajeet Ghosh and Soumitra Karan. Singchan Nandi secured 691 marks, translating to 98.71 per cent.

The toppers' list was declared through a press conference, and the result link will be activated thereafter at 11 AM. Students from 23 districts across West Bengal can check their results at wbchse.wb.gov.in, wbresults.nic.in and DigiLocker. This year, 64 students secured positions in the top 10 merit list, including 56 boys and 8 girls.

How did Kolkata perform in WBCHSE HS results?

The Board said that four students from Kolkata secured places in the top 10 merit list this year. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education reported an overall pass percentage of 91.2 per cent, with over 5.71 lakh students successfully clearing the Higher Secondary examinations.

West Bengal Class 12 Toppers List 2026

The WBCHSE has released the West Bengal Class 12 Toppers List 2026 along with the Higher Secondary (HS) results. The merit list includes the names of top-performing students, their ranks, marks obtained, and districts. Students from Science, Commerce, and Arts streams are likely to feature among the state toppers. The board may also announce the overall pass percentage, gender-wise performance, and district-wise statistics during the result declaration. Once released, the WBCHSE HS toppers list 2026 will be available on the official website.

WBCHSE Class 12 Toppers last year

Last year, the Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage among all streams, 99.46%, with 81,583 out of 82,022 candidates passing the examination. Rupayan Pal from Burdwan C.M.S. High School in Purba Burdwan emerged as the highest scorer in the state, securing an impressive 497 out of 500 marks, or 99.4%.

Several students from the Science stream also featured among the top rank holders. Tushar Debnath of Bakshirhat High School in Cooch Behar scored 496 marks, while Rajarshi Adhikary from Arambagh High School in Hooghly secured 495. Srijita Ghoshal of Sonamukhi Girls’ High School in Bankura scored 494 marks.

Meanwhile, Biresh Ghosh of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyabhaban in Paschim Midnapore, Prantik Ganguli of Arambagh High School in Hooghly, and Tanmay Pati from Sonarpur Vidyapith High School in South 24 Parganas each scored 493 marks. Srijita Ghoshal and Oishiki Das (Cooch Behar), both Science stream students, scored 494 and 493 marks respectively.
