Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney says he is delighted to see Marcus Rashford in the World Cup squad after pinpointing the reasons behind his return to form at Old Trafford and beyond this season.
Rashford, 25, has already grabbed eight goals with three assists in 18 appearances this campaign after his struggles last term. He has been rewarded for that output with an England recall for impending finals in Qatar.
Having represented the Three Lions at Euro 2016, the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020 last summer, Rashford will go to his fourth major international tournament when United halt their domestic campaign following their game with Fulham on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm). But what role does Rooney see him playing?
