Before playing Manchester on Wednesday night, The Lumineers have reminisced about their last jaunt to the city.
The band spent a boozy pub lockdown night with England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney.
“We got to spend time with Rooney and he sang Slow It Down with us in a pub, we closed down a pub!” says The Lumineers’ co-founder, Wesley Shultz.
“We had a beautiful time hanging with him in the pub.”
The band were on great form as they played Dublin’s 3Arena in front of a sell-out crowd of 13,000, on Sunday night.
While the band’s uplifting folk rock may be more suited to more intimate venues, they totally owned the larger setting - complete with 13,000 fans - and made it their home.
As well as their people-pleasing main hits such as Ho Hey, Ophelia and Cleopatra, lots of their new material from their critically-acclaimed new album BRIGHTSIDE went down a storm too, including the title track.
The show looked stunning too, with the stage design and lighting elevating an already electric gig.
Tickets are still available for the UK shows.
