Wayne Rooney appeared red-faced after soaking up the Ibiza sun as he stepped out with his wife Coleen for an evening with friends — as they await the verdict of the so called Wagatha Christie libel trial.
The footy power-couple were papped getting into a waiting taxi as Wayne appeared casually dressed in a white T shirt, blue shorts and white baseball cap to keep the last of the evening's sun off.
Coleen continued the dressed down vibe but showed off her sun-kissed skin in a pair of high wasted white denim shorts matched with a leopard print bralet, shoulder bag and opted to go barefoot.
In one of the shots the former England star could be seen animated with his arms out stretched next to the cab as the group decided on their destination.
The Rooney's headed out and dined in the port of Ibiza on Sunday night where they were joined by footballers Alex Bruce and Michael Carrick as well as their partners.
The evening appeared an adults only outing as the Rooney's four sons Kai, 12, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four, didn't join them.
The trip is their second stint abroad since the high profile so called Wagatha Christie trial, after the case over ran and they missed the last day of the hearing to fly out to Dubai for a family holiday.
Coleen, 36, posted a series of snaps of her family enjoying the break and told fans: “We had the best Family holiday 2022. Dubai you were fantastic #grateful.”
The mum-of-four is currently awaiting the verdict of the highly publicised seven-day trial, which came to a close after lawyers made their closing statements at the Royal Courts of Justice on Thursday 19 May.
The case centres around fellow footballer's wife Rebekah Vardy's Instagram account, after Coleen accused it of being linked to fake stories about her being leaked to the press in October 2019, in a now-infamous Instagram post.
Meanwhile back home Wayne confessed to being proud of his son Kai who appears to be following in his footy father's footsteps and continues to be on goalscoring form for next season.
Kai, 12, signed for Manchester United's Under-12s amid much fanfare back in December 2020.
Following the club's announcement that Kai had joined the ranks, Wayne declared: "I'm a proud dad."
