Wayne Rooney has accused Jamie Vardy of running scared after their disagreement of their wives’ libel trial.
The ex-England captain was furious after Vardy dismissed Rooney’s recent evidence as “nonsense” as the hearings continued.
36-year-old Rooney said under oath that he had told the Leicester City striker to ask his wife to “calm down” during the 2016 Euros. This came as media attention was “causing problems” that Rooney claims the FA wanted to avoid.
