Wayne Lineker has given partying Brits the chance to celebrate the Queen on the day of her funeral as he went all out with decorations on Monday.
The brother of Match of the Day pundit Gary adorned his famous sports pub Lineker's Bar in San Antonio with red, white and blue party balloons as expats and clubbers gathered to watch the Queen be laid to rest.
The 60-year-old’s bar sits on the beach and is part of his nightlife empire which includes the nearby Ocean Beach Club.
Mourners around the world watched a live stream of the Queen's funeral as Brits lined the streets to pay their respects to the nation's longest reigning monarch.
Around 2,000 guests who attended the Queen's funeral at Westminster Abbey, including members of royal families from across Europe, politicians from all sides of the political spectrum and world leaders, including US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Royalists on holiday and ex pats in the Balearics were not left out of the once-in-a-life-time event as bars and venues across the islands broadcast the Queen’s state funeral.
Wayne Lineker came under fire following the Queen’s death as he made a bizarre tribute to Her Majesty in the day following her passing.
Wayne and his co-owners at his O Beach Ibiza beach club opted to pay tribute to the Queen with a line of bikini-clad women marching through a packed crowd and on to a stage.
A video from the moment, which took place at his beach club, showed the women wearing military-inspired costumes, which mimic the uniforms worn by the King's Guard regiment who wear tall, black bearskin hats.
As they made their way to the stage they stand to attention while 60-year-old Wayne's O Beach co-owner Tony Truman made a speech to the crowd.
He told party-goers: "Are you all having a great day? We're all having an amazing day today. But, myself and Wayne and other business partners are all British businessmen and we could not let this day go by without speaking about yesterday's events in the UK.
"I think the majority of the crowd here today are from the UK if I'm right, yeah," he asks as the crowd cheers.
Tony continued: "It doesn't matter if you're British, Irish, Scottish, Italian, Spanish – wherever you are in the world I think you will all appreciate that one of the greatest, iconic women who's ever lived this world left our planet yesterday. Lets hear it for Queen Elizabeth II!"
The crowd then erupted into a cheer before Tony gestured to a giant inflatable London bus suspended in the air.
"If you look up you'll see the giant red London bus," he said. "You'll see Mary Poppins, you'll see the amazing girls from the stage as Beefeaters [sic] so let's hear it for Queen Elizabeth II," he said incorrectly referring to the uniform costumes the women are wearing.
The line up of women then saluted as the national anthem in played.
Wayne shared a video of the bizarre moment on his Instagram page, but has since deleted it.
