Wayne Gretzky is considered the greatest hockey player of all time, but even he is subject to getting hockey tips as opposed to giving them.
On Wednesday’s NHL on TNT broadcast, Gretzky told a story about when he brought his son to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The Hall of Famer explained that he had to hide who he was by wearing a hat and sunglasses to get around, but that disguise came back to haunt him when he couldn’t execute one of the interactive games that the hall offers.
“I’m 0–1, 0–2, 0–3,” Gretzky said on the broadcast. “The young kid that was running the line says, ‘Sir, if you move the hand down the stick a little farther…’ I was so mad, I threw my hat off and I said, ‘We’re running out of here.’”

Gretzky laughed about the entire story, acknowledging that the entire situation was humorous and not taking it too seriously. He ended the conversation by praising the Hockey Hall of Fame, calling it a “wonderful place” and “one of the best Hall of Fames there is.”
Still, there is one Hall of Fame worker who unknowingly gave hockey advice to the greatest player ever.
