Way-too-early look at Titans’ odds to win Super Bowl LVII

With Super Bowl LVI in the books after the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, sportsbooks have now turned their attention to the 2022 season, which will culminate with Super Bowl LVII next February.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Titans are tied for the ninth-best odds to win The Big Game, coming in at +2000, along with the Baltimore Ravens.

The eight teams ahead of the Titans and Ravens include the Buffalo Bills (+650), Kansas City Chiefs (+650), Los Angeles Rams (+1200), Cincinnati Bengals (+1300), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1300), San Francisco 49ers (+1300), Dallas Cowboys (+1500), and Green Bay Packers (+1500).

The Titans played the Bills, Chiefs, Rams, Bengals and 49ers this past season, posting a 4-1 mark (including playoffs) against those five teams. Their only loss was, of course, to the Bengals in the divisional round.

While their 2021 season ended in disappointment, the Titans are still in prime position to make some noise in 2022.

Granted, there are some questions to answer on both sides of the ball, but the Titans will return the vast majority of their starters on defense, keeping together a group that was the team’s driving force in 2021.

The biggest question going into 2022 will be: can the Titans win a Super Bowl with Ryan Tannehill as their quarterback?

Right now, the answer looks to be no after what we saw in the playoff loss to Cincinnati, but we do know that, at the very least, Tannehill will put the Titans in position by getting to the playoffs in the first place.

From there, the Titans have a championship-caliber defense they can lean on, and as long as the team can get competent play from Tannehill, along with contributions from stars like A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry, Tennessee has as good a shot as any to make a run in 2022.
