Watsonville Community Hospital has about eight days of cash on hand and faces a financial gap that could force it to close within six to 12 months without action, according to an Oct. 15 hospital news release shared with Becker's Hospital Review. The closure timeline is a warning from the hospital, not a final decision.
The Pajaro Valley Health Care District, which owns the hospital, will host a town hall on Oct. 22 to discuss possible service reductions. The meeting runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Watsonville Civic Plaza, 275 Main St.
