Waterford Township, Michigan Preliminary Voting Results: Biden Leads District 9

In Waterford Township, Michigan, the polling place in Oakland County has just closed, and the preliminary numbers from District 9, Precinct 9 have been transmitted. A total of 230 votes were cast, with 44 going to Democrats and 185 to Republicans. On the Democratic side, Joe Biden received 29 votes, Dean Phillips won uncommitted with 13 votes. For the Republicans, Donald Trump led with 159 votes, followed by Nikki Haley with 21 votes, and Ron DeSantis with 5 votes.

Additionally, in District 9, Precinct 6, more votes were tallied. Trump received 202 votes, Nikki Haley got 28 votes, and there were 3 uncommitted votes on the Republican side. On the Democratic side, Joe Biden received 13 votes, Dean Phillips got 2 votes, and there were 5 uncommitted votes.

Some voters prioritized the economy and the need for a trustworthy leader in the White House, leading them to support Biden. On the other hand, strong Trump supporters and those who couldn't vote for Biden this time around also made their voices heard.
