
A watchdog has asked a police force to investigate its initial handling of the murder of Victoria Hall, who was killed by Steve Wright in 1999.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said it received a referral in February from Suffolk Constabulary of complaints relating to its investigation into the schoolgirl’s murder which resulted in an innocent 25-year-old businessman being arrested and charged.
