The Boston Celtics created a reunion of sorts when trading away forward Juancho Hernangomez for guard PJ Dozier (and Bol Bol) in a three-way deal sending Hernangomez to the San Antonio Spurs and Dozier and Bol from the Denver Nuggets to Boston earlier this week, with Dozier having previously played for the Celtics as a two way player in the 2018-19 NBA season.
Dozier — a second cousin to tragic Celtics legend Reggie Lewis — won’t be suiting up for Boston given he’s out for the rest of the season (and his contract) with a torn ACL, but with the Celtics holding his Bird rights, he could well take the court for Boston sometime next season.
