Trayce Jackson-Davis is less than two weeks into his rookie season. The Golden State Warriors big man has already witnessed some amazing feats of skill from Steph Curry, including a 42-point explosion against the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 30.
When speaking to the media after the Warriors blow-out win over New Orleans, Jackson-Davis was asked about watching Curry’s performances up close. A smile quickly formed across his face, and it was clear he’d been starstruck by his former MVP teammate. Davis also mentioned how seeing it on the court is far more impressive than watching Curry’s antics on TV.
Jackson-Davis is in a fortunate position. Not only does he learn from Curry, but he will also be learning from Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Chris Paul: four players who have had significant success throughout their careers.

Jackson-Davis has been impressive in his first few appearances for the Warriors. He’s providing a solid screening presence and some reliable secondary scoring. If he continues to play like he has in the opening few games, there will be a role for him throughout the season.
