NEW DELHI: India beat Pakistan on Saturday in Ahmedabad to maintain their unbeaten streak against the arch-rivals in ODI World Cups, which led to a frenzy among billions of celebrating Indian fans.
The Rohit Sharma-led home team secured a dominant 7-wicket victory at the jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium with more than 19 overs to spare.
This marked India's eighth triumph over Pakistan in the ODI World Cups, extending their spotless record against the neighbours in the 50-over mega event to 8-0.
During the high-octane clash on Saturday, singer Arijit Singh was spotted cheering for Team India and also requesting Bollywood star and former India captain Virat Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma to pose for a photograph in the stands.

Arijit was one of the performers in the musical show that preceded the India vs Pakistan match.
India will now take on Bangladesh on October 19 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, while Pakistan will face Australia on October 20 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
