Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence started red hot against the Tennessee Titans in the second half of their Week 18 contest, hitting his first five passes of the third quarter.
With Lawrence cooking, the Jaguars were on the verge of a go-ahead touchdown and appeared to have it when wide receiver Zay Jones was running all by himself in the end zone. Unfortunately for Jacksonville, Lawrence sailed the pass through the back of the end zone.

The poor throw likely cost the Jaguars four points as the team settled for a 26-yard Riley Patterson field goal on the next play.
The miss was a rare one for Lawrence, who has been mostly excellent against the Titans. Earlier in the game, he set the single-season franchise record for completions in a season and he became the third Jaguars quarterback to eclipse 4,000 passing yards in a season.
Still, the sailed pass in the end zone looms large as the Titans held their lead.
