NEW DELHI: New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner produced a stupendous effort and grabbed a stunner to send Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi packing during New Zealand vs Afghanistan's ICC World Cup 2023 match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Santner's mind-boggling effort was witnessed during the last ball of the 14th over when pacer Lockie Ferguson bowled a short delivery. In an attempt to play a pull shot, Shahidi got the leading edge. An alert Santner ran backward, dived, and grabbed a one-handed stunner to show Shahidi the way back to the pavilion.
