Leeds United goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel has won the Premier League Youth’s save of the season for a spectacular point-blank stop.
The 18-year-old Dutch shot-stopper signed for Leeds United in 2020 from Ajax and became a regular starter in the Whites’ under-18s side in his first season. This season he has stepped up to make five appearances for Leeds U23s in the Premier League 2, including two clean sheets.
In one match against Chelsea U23s he faced down a point-blank shot which was blasted at the goal from inside the six-yard box. Van den Heuvel had to dive to the bottom corner of the net at full stretch to prevent the goal.

As well as his performances for Leeds United U23s, Van den Heuvel has also been capped for Netherlands U19s this season. Prior to that the young goalkeeper, who is originally from Delft, was capped at other youth levels for his country.
