In case you missed it, the Ryan Day, James Laruinaitis, and the Ohio State football program picked up one whale of a commitment for the linebacker room when 5-star prospect Riley Pettijohn chose the Buckeyes Saturday.
He’s the third of a solid group of linebackers to join the 2025 cycle, and it was a bit of a flex for OSU, going down in the state of Texas and stealing him away from the teams in Texas and the south. For awhile, it sure looked like the 6-foot, 2-inch, 215-pounder would be heading to L.A. to play for the USC Trojans, but that all seemed to change as the announcement got closer.
In the end, Pettijohn appears to be headed to Columbus, and in case you missed his announcement live, we’ve got the moment he chose Ohio State over USC, Syracuse, Texas, and Texas A&M.

It’s an exciting and big-time sales job by OSU, now it’s time to get on campus and get to work next year.
