For the second time this season, star Boston Celtics swingman Jayson Tatum has earned NBA Player of the Week honors for a seven-day span in which he carried the Celtics to a win over the Atlanta Hawks after losing teammate Jaylen Brown to injury early in the contest, handily defeated Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies and hung 54 points on the Brooklyn Nets in a 126-120 win.
Those are very good reasons to be honored by the league, but for the eponymous host of the NBC Sports Boston Celtics segment “Forsberg’s Four,” those aren’t even the things that stuck out.
Chris Forsberg (said host) instead pointed to the St. Louis native’s points average in the fourth quarter of recent games, his uptick in “hockey” assists, the former Duke player’s defense and his efficiency on drives.
Check out the clip embedded above to hear the details of why these otherwise-obscure data points stick out to the NBC analyst.
