The Houston Texans have not been shy about their offense’s capabilities.
On the first play from scrimmage coming out of the halftime locker room, quarterback Davis Mills threw a 42-yard flea flicker to receiver Brandin Cooks.
The Texans threw flea flickers with Mills last year: Week 5 against the New England Patriots and Week 18 against the Tennessee Titans. However, this particular flea flicker demonstrated the timeliness of new offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton’s calls.
The splash play resulted in the Texans capping off the drive with a Ka’imi Fairbairn 43-yard field goal to extend their lead 13-3 over the Colts early in the third quarter.
