It looked grim for the Houston Texans as they fell down 27-7 to the Los Angeles Chargers at halftime. However, they haven’t given up.
With 10:08 to go in the fourth quarter, quarterback Davis Mills threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to receiver Brandin Cooks to help the Texans pull within a touchdown following the extra point.
Mills completed a significant pass to receiver Nico Collins on the previous play as the reception went for 58 yards — a nice field-flipper on a first-and-10 from the Texans’ own 24-yard line.
The second-year quarterback was 26-of-32 for 246 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception following the scoring play to Cooks.
