Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills and receiver Brandin Cooks refined their passing connection during morning drills Wednesday during organized team activities at Houston Methodist Training Center.
According to video posted by Drew Dougherty from Texans TV, the second-year signal caller and nine-year veteran successfully engineered a short completion during passing drills.
Cooks told reporters on May 24 that he was appreciative of the opportunity to work with Mills during offseason workouts to forge better cohesion.
“Times like this, being here at OTAs, being able to get some of those live throws, and then summertime comes and be able to get the guys together and just keep that thing going before going into training camp,” said Cooks. “As we all know, everything is just about reps.”
Cooks caught 90 passes for 1,037 yards and six touchdowns through 16 games last season. In both of Cooks’ seasons with the Texans, he has produced at least 1,000 yards receiving.
