Coming off his loss to Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in the latest edition of “The Match,” Steph Curry is returning to the golf course for the 2023 American Century Championship at Edgewood Resort in Lake Tahoe.
The two-time Most Valuable Player has been a headliner in Lake Tahoe’s celebrity golf tournament that features a star-studded cast of golfers, including Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Davante Adams, Aaron Rodgers, Andre Iguodala and Charles Barkley.
In the first round of the tournament on Friday, Curry took his long-distance shooting ability from the basketball court, and applied it to the golf course. The Golden State Warriors found the bottom of the cup with a ridiculous putt from way deep on the green.

On day one of the tournament, Curry was paired up with his family. Seth and Dell joined Curry at Edgewood for their pairing in the first round. The rest of the tournament will run through the weekend.
After one day of golf, Curry is sitting at the top of the leaderboard with a 27. Four more points than the second place golfer, former San Jose Shark Joe Pavelski.
