The knock on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. coming out of Penn State was his hands. Only one college interception isn’t something you expect from a player who is so good at everything else.
On Saturday night against the Buffalo Bills, Porter took his first step toward quieting those critics. After missing the Steelers first preseason game with an injury, Porter came out against Buffalo and got his first NFL interception.
Porter has shown steady improvement throughout training camp and much of the work has been on improving his hands. Porter has one more preseason game to try to work his way into the starting lineup and bump veteran Levi Wallace.
Meant to be in the Black & Gold 🙌 @JoeyPorterJr
