Saints fan and pundit Stuart Cosgrove, speaking on Sunday’s Off The Ball show said: “There have been some difficult times to take.
“The main doors of the club being vandalised with graffiti last night, the players having to walk the gauntlet of shame after the game.
“The one person who has come out of this with flying colours is Liam Craig who only came on for the last five minutes but made sure the younger players were ushered through.
“In his defence, I would say that what he tried to do was calm down so it didn’t become ridiculous and punches were thrown.
“Zander (Clark) was saying to people ‘you can protest and boo but don’t call people out individually’.
“I don’t like reputations being trashed but this was one of the most dire moments in the club’s history.
“I would say it’s 52 per cent for Callum Davidson and 48 per cent against him but that’s narrowed over the last three weeks. It’s not looking good.
“A lot of people are saying the split is age difference. There’s a lot of people who re older and more tolerant but younger people who have only seen success are a wee bit irritated.
“There’s a lot of people who just feel we’ve made poor signings and there’s a lot of people against Callum but I still believe he has what it takes.”
