Elon Musk will finally initiate the SpaceX Starship rocket launch today as he makes another step toward realizing his extraterrestrial dream.
It is understood that the company plans for the Starship rocket to one day carry humans to the moon and Mars. Today will mark its first-ever orbital test as it flies up from its launchpad in Texas and attempts to travel around Earth.
The rocket has been designed to be uniquely reusable, which means that it can potentially be launched several times into orbit. Today's test will stand as a signifier for how much progress SpaceX has made, with many people likely watching on with high hopes.
