Legendary TV star Sooty has revealed the secret to his age-defying looks including persisting rumours that he has had botox as he prepares to celebrate his 75th anniversary next year.
Speaking exclusively to the Standard via video link from Southampton where he’s currently rehearsing for panto Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the Mayflower Theatre, Sooty was joined by his right hand man Richard Cadell.
Also making an appearance was long-time frenemy Sweep, who treated us to a unique rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
Elsewhere, Richard lifted the lid on what it’s really like working with everyone’s favourite yellow and black teddy bear, plus, helping him make Sooty’s first ever Christmas single.
All proceeds from The Most Magical Time Of The Year will go towards charity Childline, the children’s counselling service run by the NSPCC.
The accompany music video also gives fans their first ever glimpse at Sooty, Sweep and their panda friend Soo’s legs!
Sooty entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 2016 as the world’s longest running children’s TV programme in the world and he doesn’t look likely to be slowing down anytime soon.
