The Seahawks are doing a total makeover of their interior defensive line. Last night, they purged their third starter from 2022, releasing veteran NT Al Woods. While his contract makes this far from shocking news, Woods was a popular player who’s been with Seattle three different stints in his career.
After the news broke, the team shared this tribute video on Twitter.
Big love for Big Al. 💙 pic.twitter.com/0IVIkuoRkC

Woods is still playing at a high level. However, he has appeared in 155 regular season games since the 2010 season and will turn 36 years old on Saturday. Seattle has to get younger inside and this is unfortunately part of it.
