Here we go with another game week, and that means Ohio State head coach Ryan Day stepped to the podium at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and previewed the matchup with Purdue and fielded questions from reporters.
The Buckeyes are coming off of a game that sure felt like two separate ball games in each half. In the first 30 minutes, OSU seemed to be shaking off the sleepy time hot tea after being off for a week, but the next 30 minutes was more of what we’ve come to expect. At the end of the day, it was a 20-point win over an undefeated team, and that’s nothing to take for granted.
There were clearly things to still work on, and Day was ready to face the firing squad earlier this week. In case you missed any of his press conference, we’re resharing it for your listening and watching pleasure thanks to our friends at the Columbus Dispatch.
In it, you can hear Day touch on some injury updates, talk about the development of quarterback Kyle McCord, touch on the offensive line play, and more.
Ohio State travels to Purdue Saturday for a noon kick, and we’ll be here the rest of the week, during the game, and then after for analysis and coverage. Check back and stay with us as OSU tries to move to 6-0 on the season.
