In an annual festive tradition, the Prime Minister has turned on the lights of the Downing Street Christmas tree.
Rishi Sunak said the Christmas story was “one of hospitality and compassion”, adding that he and his wife, Akshata Murty, were “really pleased to welcome” Ukrainians who had found shelter in Britain, winners of the Points of Light award and serving personnel from Catterick Garrison to Downing Street on Monday evening.
