The Kansas City Chiefs added wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Xavier Worthy during the 2024 offseason to compete with Rashee Rice for targets from Patrick Mahomes in Andy Reid’s high-octane offense.
Though Brown and Worthy are both dynamic athletes with a ton of big-play potential, Rice is expected to be the top receiver on Kansas City’s depth chart.
During a practice session at Chiefs training camp on Thursday, Rice showed off his ability to reel in one-handed catches, which may be a new feature to his approach this season as Kansas City looks to improve its passing game after poor performances from its receivers in 2023.

Patrick Mahomes will need as much help as he can get to lift the Chiefs to a third consecutive Super Bowl title in 2024, and after his outstanding performances at training camp, Rice seems primed to be the two-time MVP’s go-to receiver.
Fans would be wise to keep their eyes on Rice as training camp continues.
