The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take the field in their first exhibition matchup of the preseason against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Though the results of the game won’t mean anything in the AFC standings, both teams are prepared to play for pride as they evaluate some of the unheralded talent on their depth charts.
Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes made an early impression on fans at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville before kickoff, launching footballs deep downfield during warmups.

Mahomes is only expected to play a few snaps during Saturday night’s matchup but will be ready to coach up his teammates from the sideline throughout the game.
Expect to see him encourage Carson Wentz, Chris Oladokun, and Ian Book to push the ball downfield as Kansas City evaluates its new receivers against Jacksonville.
