NEW DELHI: Ollie Pope led England's fightback against India in their second innings. The England vice-captain was unbeaten on 148 at stumps on Day 3 in Hyderabad and was looking all set to reach a double century.
But as luck would have it on Day 4, Pope was clean bowled by India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah while trying to play a reverse-scoop. Pope failed to pick the change of pace, got early into his shot and for the first time in the second innings, he couldn't make contact with the reverse-scoop. The ball crashed into the off-stump.
