The Los Angeles Rams are in full control of the Carolina Panthers in Week 6, and look like they will get back to .500 with competent play in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. The game looked to be sealed when safety Nick Scott came up with a diving interception in the red zone that gave the ball back to the Rams with a 14-point lead and minutes remaining in the game.
Check out the play here, and take note of the concentration he showed to bring the ball in as he dove to the ground:

This was a hotly contested game until Los Angeles turned on their afterburners in the second half. Their balanced offense was helped by the stingy defense on the other side of the ball that kept them in the lead once they got back ahead. Quarterback Matthew Stafford saw better protection than in previous weeks, and was able to put together enough offensive production to make sure that the defense didn’t get too desperate.
This turnover forced by Scott will help the team build defensive momentum as they look to salvage their 2-3 start. Back at .500 after a win this week, the Rams would stay in the mix near the top of the NFC West standings and have a good shot to make a move into playoff position by midseason.
