Mike White looks to have secured the third quarterback spot (and likely backup in Week 1). After coming in during the second quarter, White had a strong second quarter, throwing two touchdown passes, one to Braxton Berrios, the second to Jeff Smith.
It was a very nice throw and catch between White and Smith to sore from 19 yards out. White had some zip to the ball and Smith showed good concentration and balance before getting into the end zone. That score gave the Jets the lead going into the locker room, 17-10, their first lead since the game was 3-0.
