Nine pitches, nine strikes, three outs. That’s right, it’s an immaculate inning!
We saw a couple of those last year thanks to Johan Ovideo and Colin Holderman, and we saw Houston Astros teammates throw a pair in the same game in 2022.
Now, we got one from Chicago White Sox hurler Michael Kopech, the first in 2024. He got up to triple digits a few times, including with the final pitch against the Minnesota Twins that ended the game with a win for the Pale Hose, who have won a league-low 27 times this year.
Very cool! Watch all nine pitches below and enjoy the immaculate vibes:
9 pitches. 9 strikes. Ballgame.
Michael Kopech throws the first immaculate inning of the season!
